That is, you can (with the game and the RGL closed) delete the cloudsavedata.dat in Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Profiles\\ after which restarting the game will ask if you want to use the Rockstar savegame cloud at all, but even when you pick "no" there, you'll still not be able to in fact start the game offline with savegame support.Īt least if you set Steam to offline mode and start GTA4 from there, the RGL also starts in what it finds to be its own offline mode, but still complains about offline mode not in fact being available ("until you start the game once when online", etc., even though you certainly did). It doesn't so much "not apply" that location as much as simply does not at the moment provide for offline savegame support.
